Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your guide and transferred to Negombo. The coastal town is a great place to start your trip, with its old buildings and active fishing. After checking into your hotel in Negombo, you can unwind by the beach. Enjoy the tropical breeze.
After breakfast, begin your journey towards the Cultural Triangle. On your way, stop by the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its detailed murals and Buddha statues. Then, get to Sigiriya and relax at your hotel, which has lots of green scenery and a peaceful vibe. Stay the night in Sigiriya.
Start your day by climbing Sigiriya Rock Fortress. It’s an old fortress with amazing views and cool paintings. After that, you can pick between a village tour with a bullock cart ride and a Sri Lankan lunch, or a jeep tour at Minneriya National Park to see elephants. You’ll stay overnight in Sigiriya.
After breakfast, travel to Kandy, stopping at a spice garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lanka’s aromatic spices and herbs. On arrival, visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in the world. In the evening, witness a traditional cultural dance performance before settling in for the night. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Explore Sri Lanka’s hill country, known for its vast tea fields. Tour a tea factory to see how tea is made and try Ceylon tea. Stop by Ramboda Falls on your way to Nuwara Eliya, nicknamed Little England, a very scenic town. Check out Gregory Lake and its beautiful area. Stay the night in Nuwara Eliya.
Start your day with a scenic train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, known for its beautiful views. Once you arrive, check out the Nine Arches Bridge and take a short hike to Little Adam’s Peak for some amazing scenery. Wind down and enjoy a relaxing evening in the town. You’ll be staying overnight in Ella.
After breakfast, head toward Yala, and consider a quick stop at Ravana Falls to snap some photos. Later that day, take a jeep tour through Yala National Park, where you might see leopards, elephants, and other animals. Plan to stay the night in either Yala or Tissamaharama.
Drive along the coast to Mirissa, known for its nice beaches and clear water. You can spend the day relaxing on the beach, swimming, or just enjoying the sun. We’ll stay overnight in Mirissa.
In the morning visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site with charming streets, colonial architecture, and boutique shops. Afterwards, head to Colombo for a city tour covering landmarks such as the Galle Face Green, Old Parliament, and Pettah Market. Overnight stay in Colombo.
After breakfast, enjoy some last-minute shopping before your transfer to the airport for departure.
